She is currently the Director General of the Metro System (Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metro).
Obtained her Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1988, a M.Phil degree in 1989 and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of London in 1993.
In 2000, she was Director General for Planning Transport and Traffic of the Secretaria de Transporte y Vialidad de la Ciudad de México (currently the Ministry of Mobility). From 2001 to 2004 she was Director General of the Electric Transportation Services from Mexico City (Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos), where she implemented a new payment system and the regulation on the main line of trolleybuses.
From 2004 to 2006 she was Director General of the Metro System. (Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metro), being in charge of a workforce of more than 15,000 employees, managed an annual budget of approximately 10 billion of pesos and a collection of ticket sales of more than 3 billion pesos by year.
She has been dedicated to the area of Technological Development and Innovation. In 2010 she co-founded and became CEO of Urban Travel Logistics, a company dedicated entirely to the design and implementation of integrated solutions dedicated to and mobility; being the operation coordinator in the Mexipuerto Ciudad Azteca, CETRAM El Rosario and Cuatro Caminos.
She has 15 international arbitrated articles, 3 technological developments focused on the operation of public transport in transfer stations and she has been an international speaker on 30 occasions.
